In October 2020, I bought my first ever digital camera (the unconspicuous X100v) and set out to document the pandemic in my small English seaside town. Social documentary is where I’d started decades earlier in L.A when I went to film school (and I mean film back in 1989-91, not digital). I went on to direct a handful of documentaries but by 2008 I had drastically shifted gea from behind to in-front of the camera. I was a singer, living in Tucson, Arizona and touring my music worldwide. I didn’t stop touring for a decade… that is, until the pandemic.
