LONESOME COWGIRLS (2010)

LONESOME COWGIRLS (2010)

Directed by Marianne Dissard, 'Lonesome Cowgirls' is a 52mn western film inspired by Andy Warhol's 1968 western film, 'Lonesome Cowboys'. Both are shot in Tucson, Arizona.

Shot in exactly 24hrs on June 12th, 2010 in Ed Keeylocko's Cowtown Keeylocko, a surreal one-saloon desert outpost and working ranch located an hour southwest of Tucson, this western romp fantasy is the rawdy companion piece to 2010 album 'L'abandon' by Marianne Dissard.

A film that is by turn hilarious and moving, quiet and boisterous, tender yet violent, full of friends, and maybe also touchingly a little bit lonesome.

Footage from the film was used in several music videos as well as for background projections during live tours in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and China in 2011.
