ON A GOOD DAY YOU CAN SEE FRANCE (2022)

I'm supremely excited to present my first photobook, 'On A Good Day You Can See France'.

I designed the book myself, poring over several thousand photos I made in Ramsgate, Kent the first winter of the pandemic from Octobre 2020 to April 2021, the year Christmas was cancelled in the UK.

With 79 photographs arranged in 5 sections over 124 pages, the book measures 19.5cm by 25cm. Conceived as a bilingual edition (Fr/En) with an astute 7-page foreword by Raphael Mann, the Coptic-bound softcover limited-edition of 50 was printed in France by Escourbiac Imprimeurs, a long-trading fine art and photography printing press located near Albi.

I wanted the book to speak of our collective experience of a traumatic time and to remind us of situations and feelings we've already mostly chosen to forget.

The book was launched in July 2022 with a solo exhibition at The Glasgow Gallery of Photography.
